Tammy is a true Cat Whisperer. Molly, my 3 year old tortise shell, is a very shy ferral cat and she was able to feed her treats and see her every day. Very few have been able to gain her trust. Cleo, my 3 year old mixed tabby, was happy and looking as beautiful as ever when I returned home. To be able to go away on holidays and not worry about my babies is such a wonderful feeling. Tammy recently cared for our dog while we were out of town, and without her assistance, a very bad turn of events would have been even worse. Our dog, Remington, fell ill just before our vacation. Although our vet diagnosed him with a minor issue, he continued to decline while we were away. From the moment it was clear that Remington was not getting better, Tammy contacted us, as well as his vet. She brought him into the clinic, monitored his progress over the course of several days, communicated regularly with the vet and continuously kept us up to date through e-mails and phone calls.
Tammy comforted Remington during his last night at home, having slept on the floor with him, rubbing his ears and assuring him how we loved him very much. In our absence, she filled our shoes, and for that we will always be grateful.
As any pet owner could imagine, it was extremely difficult to deal with his passing while not being able to be home for him - we felt totally helpless.
Tammy and her team cared for our dear Remington as if her were their own. The loving care and respect they give is unprecedented and their professionalism outstanding. I look forward to using Red Rover's services again as the peace of mind they offer is unparalleled.

My husband and I were leaving for Hawaii rather worried because we were leaving a medically fragile cat along with two othe cats in Red Rover's care. From the moment we met Don, we knew that we didn't have to worry. Don made sure to commit to each visit so that our pets only needed to get used to one person coming in.
At the time, our medically fragile cat was in need of various medications two times a day and Don was able to administer the meds, no problem.
Near the end of our trip, our fragile cat's condition deteriorated and Don made sure to contact us as well as our various vets to make sure a plan of action was in place.

We have a fourteen and a half year old Welsh Terrier named Casey. We were looking to have someone come in during the day to care for Casey and our vet recommended that we contact Red Rover. When I contacted Tammy she was extremely accommodating in meeting with us right away as we were in need of her services immediately. I was impressed by the level of professionalism of both Tammy and Cate(our dog walker) when they met with us for over an hour prior to starting the service the next day. They were very detailed in their explanation of the service they provided and they were also very detailed in their information gathering about Casey and her special needs. In our meeting I observed their genuine concern for Casey. Currently, Cate comes in each day for half an hour to walk Casey, give her a treat and put her back to bed. I am also delighted to come home and have a summary from Cate on how the the visit went with Casey. It is clear to me that they truly care about Casey and her well being and I am comforted to know that someone is coming in to check on her during the day. My dog Charlie can get very nervous when his regular routine is disrupted. I have left Charlie with friends and a kennel before but each time he has experienced stomach problems due to his nerves. We began using Tammy's services in July 2004 to look after our family cat Coal and our dwarf rabbit Drizzle while we were on vacation for a 3 week period. Hello. My name is Steve Jenkins, and I have recently used Red Rover Pet Care's services to watch over my two dogs and cat while I was away for two weeks getting married. Prior to meeting Tammy, my wife Janine and I have been pulling our hair out trying to find someone appropriate for the job. These days in Calgary, it is hard to find friends, family or anyone else who can visit your home on a regular basis to give your pets the love and care they need. However, Tammy Godfray and Red Rover Pet Care were the perfect solution for us, and I would recommend their services to anyone in a similar situation. Red Rover is a thorough, well educated, caring and flexible service that in my experience went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our dogs, Bunky and Sophie, AND our cat, Homer was doing okay. The Godfrays watched over our pets and our property on numerous occasions over the last 7 years that we lived in South Calgary. Their care and diligence exceeded our expectations in every capacity. We have three cats and were lucky enough to have the Godfrays look after them in our home during our somewhat frequent vacations. Over these week-long absences Don and Tammy would visit our home to feed our cats, clean the litter boxes and brush and even play with them, giving them the much needed human attention that these otherwise independent animals miss so much when we are gone. The Godfrays would also collect our mail, tend to the yard, and ensure our property did not look vacant (flyers taken inside, different lights on/off, blinds up/down, etc). It was so nice to travel with the peace of mind knowing that our pets, property and possessions were being cared for. Most recently we moved out of province and had to count on Don and Tammy to look after our home in Calgary, which remained vacant for a month before the new owners took possession. Once again, it was very reassuring to know the Godfrays were stopping by to look after our home. Knowing they were there to shovel the driveway, collect the mail and ensure the property remained secure was a load off our minds since we were two provinces away. They went above and beyond the call of duty and even took digital photographs of our final utility meter readings for us. The Godfrays are animal lovers who are responsible and dependable and allowed us the privilege of leaving our home without worrying about the well being of our cherished pets and our valuable property. Boarding kennels and pet resorts are stressful for pets, expensive, and can be even be a source of illness. It was super to travel with the peace of mind that our pets were safe and happy in our home. I would not hesitate to count on Don and Tammy again in the future and I would highly recommend them to anybody. They are great people offering a great service.

Tammy was recommended to me by the ex-owner of The Pet Stop where I buy treats for my dogs and who's also a dog's instructor and very serious, so I trusted he knew what he was talking about when he recommended her. And I could not be happier. She's great with my "girls", they love her and I can trust them to her completely. She's very reliable, always follow instructions and is highly committed to my dogs' well being. We have travelled and left the girls to her care and so our house and when we come back it's as if we have never left! The girls are happy! And in good shape and much less stressed (if at all) than when they used to stay in kennels. Now Tammy's husband, Don, has joint her in the business and he's got the same loving , caring, nature towards my girls that I see in Tammy. They certainly make a great couple and a great Team!

Words cannot adequately express how grateful I am for Red Rover's services, and the care Tammy puts into looking after my little girl (cat) Socket. Red Rover Pet Care is an excellent service. We went away on a long weekend, and they were able to come to our house twice every day to feed our cat. A journal was kept providing information about feedings and litter box cleaning, which I was very pleased about. Time was even taken to clean the dish my cat eats off of. Tammy and Don have given us the peace of mind we need to ensure our best friend is looked after when we are away during the day. When we interviewed Red Rover, they were methodical in understanding our dog's needs and have respected all of our requests. They are upfront in terms of how much time is actually spent with Franklin, our three year old Westie dog, versus how much time he spends riding around in the vehicle going on dog walk's. Their personalized pet service is exceptional!
Their communication is thorough and they return our telephone calls promptly.

I found myself in need of a pet sitting service after my cat had a recent diabetes episode. When it first happened I didn't know if I would be able to travel any more. Thankfully my kitty had transient diabetes and its gone away. As a result of it though she is now on soft food twice a day. Asking friends to visit your house twice a day every day when you are away is difficult so I asked my vets office (Dr. Biernacki at Canyon Meadows) if they had any companies to refer. I was given Red Rover's contact info and told that they have heard nothing but good comments on their service. I am very happy that I chose Red Rover. From what I've seen, they are a very professional company. I was impressed with their webpage and the documentation given during our first meeting. Tammy was very personable and her personality showed she genuinely cared about each pet she worked with. I know I will use their services again. I also have comfort in knowing they can & will administer medication or needles if required in case I am faced with that situation again. I would not hesitate to recommend Red Rover to friends.

Following a sudden family tragedy, we found ourselves without anyone willing or able to take on the seemingly big task of "sitting" our 2 dogs, Sophia & Buster. With kennelling/boarding not being an option for us, we were/are truly thankful for your flexibility in taking us on as clients on short notice and appreciate your willingness and desire to accommodate us.
Tammy, it was evident during our initial meeting that you were very comfortable with dogs, and even better, that our dogs were very comfortable with you. Leaving our dogs is never easy for us, but after our meeting, we had no reservations about going away and leaving our dogs in your care, as we were confident that they were in good hands and would receive lots of love and attention. We have used your services twice now, in June & July 2008, for periods of 2-3 days. During these times, the dogs have been visited by both you and Don, and aside from loving the daily reports you provided, what was most rewarding was seeing how content our dogs were when we returned home. They often do not eat their food when we are away from home, but with you and Don, they actually ate!
